Welcome…

flag_hammer.jpgJudge Aida Salinas Flores welcomes you to participate in our judicial process by participating in active jury service. As a member of a free society, we resolve our disputes by the “Rule of Law”. This is the democratic process. The rules and laws that are in place and that we follow as members of a free society have developed and have been codified by the legislature and are based on case law that has been interpreted for over hundreds of years.

An Independent judiciary is at the heart of our Democracy: the third branch of government interprets the rules. As jurors, the community participates in this process by becoming “Judges” of the facts in civil and criminal cases.

We would not be able to dispose of cases and administer justice without your help. Please serve when you are called.

Those of you who have served know how rewarding the experience when you participate and make a difference in your government.

Aida

Communications with a Judge about a case are not permitted by law. These communications are called “ex-parte” communications. The law requires that both parties to a dispute be present when any communication about the case is made before a Judge. Code of Judicial conduct.
